Loree "AK" Oboe OJ05Near mint condition. One of the sweetest sounding Loree AK
oboes I have ever encountered. Beautiful instrument in every
respect...
Hans Kreul/Miraphone Oboe All cork pads, nylon tip adjustment screws installed throughout.Very
good + condition. Was cracked in the upper joint, expertly
repaired- no leaks. Easy playing, big somewhat "dark" sound
-not as dark as the Kreul "Gordet" model however. Utterly stable
scale, easy response throughout. Exceedingly "forgiving"- "locks
onto" pitch centers. This oboe will suit a student with rather
large hands.
Robert OboeMade in Paris circa 1955. Predecessor of the Laubin "Barre'" oboe.
Robert was Loree's main competition in the 1930s. Just overhauled
by Stacy Fortiner: all cork pads, nylon tip adjustment screws
installed throughout, keys fitted. This Robert oboe plays a
lot like a late "A" series Loree oboe, and the keywork bears
a striking resemblace to the prewar Loree oboes as well. This
oboe has a "silvery sweet" tone. Ideal for a student with rather
small hands.
Barre Oboe by Laubin circa 1977This oboe has a somewhat bright, though "sprightly" and "full" sweet
sound. Just overhauled by Paul Woltz, nylon tips installed
throughout, all cork pads. This oboe has an excellent scale
and response. The highest harmonic register is absolutely exceptional.
Best suited for a student with small to medium size hands.
Laubin Oboe #1442, 1976Just completely overhauled by THE most meticulous repair person in the Pacific Northwest. Photo is of an identical Laubin oboe.
Chauvet Oboe Ben Storch "BW" SeriesPhenomenal oboe in every respect. Somewhat dark sound, though
not overly so. Excellent+ condition, all cork pads, nylon tip
adjustment screw throughout.
Buffet Oboe circa late 1990sGold plated keys. Mint condition. Exceptionally fine player
in every respect. A joy to play. |
