Loree English Horn circa 1950Excellent condition, almost no signs of visible wear whatsoever.
Plays like a dream. Outstanding resonance, excellent scale.
Has "open standing" F resonance key. Phenomenal English horn,
a true classic.
Loree English Horn BR Series made in 1968Without any hesitation, I affirm that this Loree is absolutely one of the most fabulous English horns in existence! Plays like a dream. HUGE, RESONANT SOUND. Absolutely stable throughout the entire range, superb scale, phenomenal reponse. Voicing has just been checked and adjusted by oboe maker Thomas Hiniker. Just overhauled by Paul Woltz: all new cork pads, nylon tip adjustment screws installed throughout, keys fitted, adjustable thumbrest installed. No cracks of any kind. Has "open standing" F resonance mechanism. Comes in new BAM double case. Two #13 bore Hiniker bocals chosen to match this instrument. This horn sings! Truly the best of the best. $6500
Rigoutat English Horn circa 1975 Very good condition. Has left F AND left C# keys. A good
solid English horn in all respects. Fine upper registers, exceptional
low register. Had one small crack in upper joint, almost invisible,
not through or near any tone holes.
Chauvet English Horn "AC" series, circa 1976 Absolutely phenomenal English horn. Near mint condition,
appears as new- scarely played. Indistinguishable from my friend
Glen Danielson's exceptional 1992 vintage Laubin Englsih horn.
This Chauvet has the same "dark, chocolate, velvety" timbre
as the recent Laubin English horns. As fine an English horn
as you may ever find.
Orsi English HornA fine instrument in excellent condition. BIG, resonant sound.
Does not have a low C "banana" key. Best suited to a musician
with large hands.
Gordet English HornMade by Hans Kreul circa 1972, voiced by Ben Storch. Excellent
condition. A "good horn," though perhaps not a "great" horn.
Malerne English Horn circa late 1960s A good horn in fine condition, though some dulling of the
silver plating has occurred.
Marigaux English HornUsually some available. |
